Both are a workable place to start. Breskin Development is run by three principals — two who came from finance, one from design — and we have built on the East End since 2009. Our clients are intricately involved in the planning and design of their homes, and we prefer it that way. A custom house is a long conversation, and the questions worth asking tend to come up at framing rather than after the drywall is closed.
We employ our own carpenters and run our own shop, so the detail work never passes down a subcontracting chain. The finance background shows up where it should — in a budget and a schedule treated as commitments rather than estimates.
“It’s the little things, like the back stairs or second-floor laundry.”
